One ‘murdered’ in Phulbari

TURA, Aug 17: A 28-year-old man, Khusur Alom of Rajpur in Phulbari, West Garo Hills, was attacked with a lethal weapon by Sobidur Islam Sk, at the residence of a relative on Saturday night resulting in his death.
An argument reportedly took place in the house of a relative which led to a physical altercation during which Sobidur stabbed Khusur. He was rushed to Phulbari hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile, late Monday night, two men were attacked grievously at Ringrey market area of Tura by a dagger-wielding man.
“Last night at around 11:20 pm, one Luengchang Ch Momin and Twengchang Ch Momin, both of Lower Mission compound, were assaulted with a dao by Amberd Momin of Upper Chandmari at Ringrey near gas agency. Twengchang is admitted in the hospital and the accused has been arrested. Case has been registered and investigation is on,” informed Tura Police.
