Rainfall likely in state till Aug 27

SHILLONG, Aug 23: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Shilong has informed that the Meghalaya is “very likely” to experience “fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated very heavy rainfall to extremely heavy rainfall” during the next five days i.e. till the 27th of this month.
Strong southerly/southwesterly winds from Bay of Bengal to the North East are very likely to continue till August 25, the IMD said in a statement issued here on Monday.
