MLA confident about his scheme implementation

SHILLONG, Sep 5: Agriculture Minister and Mawkynrew MLA, Banteidor Lyngdoh, has dared his political opponents to file an RTI application on the implementation of Special Rural Work Programme (SRWP) by him in his constituency, which the minister claims to have done transparently.
“I can proudly say I have been able to implement the SRWP in a transparent manner. My political opponents are free to seek an RTI since I know I have done nothing wrong,” Lyngdoh said in his address at a programme in Thangsning village in East Khasi Hills, to hand over the work order and the solar street lights to villages on Saturday.

He said that work order was issued to various school managing committees of schools under his constituency for construction of new classrooms, toilets and other requirements of the school.
He also said that he handed over the work order to various Seng Longkmie who wished to set up a cloth washing shed besides other facilities.
The minister has also provided financial assistance to village Dorbars and local associations, besides handing over 150 numbers of solar street lights to the Dorbars.
