Natl Lok Adalat takes up 1,019 cases across state

SHILLONG, Sep 11: The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority on Saturday organised National Lok Adalat across the state during which 675 pre-litigation cases and 344 pending cases were taken up for settlement.
According to a statement on Saturday, the National Lok Adalat was organised under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and under the patronage of the Meghalaya High Court Chief Justice, Biswanath Somadder.
It was also informed that an amount of Rs 1.03 crore was settled in the National Lok Adalat.
