SWGH cops recover man’s body with stab wounds

TURA, Sep 13: Police in South West Garo Hills have recovered a body with multiple stab wounds in Betasing area of the district, indicating a prima facie case of cold-blooded murder.
Police from Betasing outpost on Monday were alerted by locals about a body in the Dilni river close to Rongsang A’bagre Aking land.
After retrieving the body from the water, the police were taken aback when they found multiple stab wounds on the mid-section of the victim.
The victim has been identified as Shahinue Sheikh (44) of Dugripara village under Ampati police station.
The victim’s presence in the area and the cause of his death are now being investigated by the police.
