Man ‘kills’ wife, self in WKH village

NONGSTOIN, Sep 21: In an unnerving incident which occurred at Siejlieh village in West Khasi Hills, the bodies of a man and his wife were found inside their rented house located in Mawiaban area of the village on Tuesday. Their six-month-old daughter was found lying near the parents’ cadavers by the police.
The baby was rushed to the hospital for medical examination and was later handed over to the relatives.
The man and his wife have been identified as Bose Kharbani (25) and Rosemery Lyngkhoi (26) respectively.
The Crime Scene Unit Shillong, which was requisitioned shortly, after conducting an examination of the crime scene, concluded that the husband likely murdered his wife with a sharp knife, which the team found at the spot, and then took his own life too.
Eye witnesses have informed the police that door of the house had been locked from inside.
