TURA, Sep 23: The BJP from Tura has urged the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) to look into various issues and shortcomings that are reportedly being faced in two PHCs in West Garo Hills.
In a complaint to the official, the BJP alleged that after few visits by its members, it was found that various problems are plaguing Asanang PHC and Dadenggre PHC.
According to the BJP, following the visits, the party members found that the PHCs were reeling under the dearth of adequate manpower and medicines, absence of maintenance, poor infrastructure, non-maintenance of roads leading up to the health centres, besides others.  Referring to the Tura Civil Hospital, the BJP apprised the official of a leaking septic tank on the road leading to a residential area near the Corona Care Centre.
The party also asked the DM&HO to ensure that the same is repaired before it sparks a public outcry.
