Woman falls off bridge, rescued

SHILLONG, Sep 23: A 72-year-old woman was on Wednesday rescued with the joint efforts of a pilot of 108 ambulance and the locals after she fell off a bridge near Mahari petrol pump in Jaiaw.
The pilot, Pyntngen Nongrum, who spearheaded the rescue, then shifted the woman to Shillong Civil Hospital for treatment.
