MUDA complex in Nongpoh renamed

NONGPOH, Sep 29: The Urban Affairs department has approved the renaming of Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Market Complex to Nongpoh Town Shopping Complex, Chairman of Nongpoh Town Committee, CB Syiem, told media persons on Wednesday.
Syiem, who was accompanied by the Secretary of the Committee, Rayonald Kharkamni, said that the MUDA Market Complex will now be officially known as Nongpoh Town Shopping Complex.
In this regard, Syiem expressed gratitude to former Urban Affairs Minister, Hamletson Dohling, Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner, RM Kurbah, Director of Urban Affairs, E Kharmalki, for their endeavours.
He was optimistic that the incumbent Urban Affairs Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, will work hand in hand with the NTC and the Ri Bhoi district administration, particularly for the completion of long-pending projects.
