Motocross, other events mark GH Day celebration

TURA, Oct 3: An array of fun-filled activities including Motocross marked the culmination of 9-Tura MDC Cup events which coincided with 152nd Garo Hills Day celebration organised by the BJP Tura City District Committee and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). As part of the same programme, cleaning drives were also conducted by Mahilas in their respective areas.
Various events like Tura MDC Cup Badminton Championship in collaboration with Tura Badminton Association, Basketball tournament (both boys & Girls category) in collaboration with Tura Basketball Association, Volleyball tournament in collaboration with BJYM and ‘Challang Natimang Motocross’ competition in collaboration with Durama Motorsports & Adventure Club were organised as part of the programme at different venues.
Other competitions like Karaoke competition, indigenous games like Chine Rongsni (Seven Stones) and Dangguti were also organised for the youths as part of the Tura MDC Cup.
Meanwhile, the BJP Tura City District Committee has expressed appreciation towards all stakeholders including the district administration, authorities of Don Bosco School, Tura, its collaborators and participants for making the programme a success. The committee also informed that online competitions like singing, art, essay, dance etc will be coming up next.
