Weekly markets to open in WGH

TURA, Oct 10: In view of the decline in COVID-19 cases in the district, the West Garo Hills District Magistrate has allowed the opening of weekly markets subject to strict compliance to set guidelines and protocols.
According to the order, all the traders and vendors are required to display their vaccination status and wear face masks without fail, while temporary sheds and shops are to maintain a distance of two metres from one another, traders and buyers from outside the state to adhere to entry protocols.
In a separate order, the district magistrate has extended containment measures in the district till 5 AM of October 18 with the same restricted and permitted activities as in the earlier order.
