DSO Ampati Futsal tournament concludes

Ampati, Oct 21: The two-day Futsal Tournament 2021, organised by the District Sports Office Ampati at Students’ Field, Ampati, concluded with Bura FC winning the final 3-0 against 10 Brothers FC here, on Thursday.
A total of 18 teams from across the district participated in the tournament.
South Deputy Commissioner, Ch. Ramakrishna, attended the final as the chief guest and handed over the trophies in the presence of the District Sports Officer, S.M.Marak, President District Sports Association, Tengban Marak and other district officials.
The chief guest encouraged the youth to take up sports saying “a healthy mind resides in a healthy body”. He also urged upon all those present at the event who are still unvaccinated against Covid-19 to take the vaccine to bring back normalcy.
While Bura FC and 10 Brothers were the winners and runners-up respectively, Chenggrim N. Marak of Bura FC was declared the Man of the Tournament, Kris Neal Marak of Ira FC was the Best Goalkeeper and Polbit G. Sangma of Zikzak FC the Highest Scorer.
Meanwhile, the District Sports Officer also informed that the women’s football tournament is scheduled tp kick-off at Ampati from October 26.
