BSF comes to aid of pregnant woman in SGH

TURA, Oct 25: Playing the role of the Good Samaritan, the Border Security Force (BSF) in South Garo Hills on Monday came to the aid of a pregnant woman and her family and transported her from her village to receive necessary medical care.

Tangsilchi R Marak (27), wife of Gopi D Shira from Panda Chiksen village under Rongara Police Station of the district was provided an ambulance by the Nursing BSF Assistant under BOP Panda to be transported to the Baghmara Civil Hospital. The ambulance was provided to the patient on the direction of the Commandant, 43 Bn BSF.

The patient has since been admitted to the hospital and receiving necessary medical care.
