TURA, Oct 26: A day after a woman was run over by a boulder truck in West Garo Hills, the FKJGP from Purakhasia in West Garo Hills has condemned the incident and appealed to the district administration to immediately stop plying of trucks and export to Bangladesh.
In a statement, the FKJGP argued that the move is the need of the hour as many lives have been lost due to the reckless driving of trucks.
It may be mentioned that the woman who was run over the boulder truck has lost both her legs and continues to undergo treatment.
Monday’s incident also sparked furore among the locals, who torched the dumper truck involved.
