Webinar on care for mentally affected

SHILLONG, Nov 9: A webinar on ‘Disaster psycho-social care: people’s attitude & mental health status in coping with the Pandemic’ was organised by the Disaster Management Committee of Shillong College here on Tuesday.
In her inaugural address, resource person Dr. Tiewri L Nonglait talked about people experiencing several mental health problems primarily owing to COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, Dr. Didakamiwan Khonglah, a resource person at the programme, highlighted the impact of COVID-19 of different categories of people, including the general public.
The webinar also pointed out that many of those with existing mental health problems have reported the recurrence or deterioration of mental disorders.
