Unclaimed body
A male patient named Suresh Pradhan, 50 years, was admitted in the Male Medical Ward, Bed No. 17, of Civil Hospital Shillong on October 27, informed Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital Shillong. The patient, however, expired on November 8. Concerned persons have been requested to collect the body from the hospital morgue within three days failing which it will be sent for disposal.
Arms collection
The East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has directed all license holders to collect their arms and ammunition, which were deposited prior to the recently concluded by-elections, from concerned police station/outpost/beat house.
Workshop
A two-day orientation workshop on Juvenile Justice Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for chairpersons and members of Child Welfare Committee, members of Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Police Officers of Special Juvenile Police Unit was organised by the State Child Protection Society, Shillong, on Tuesday and Wednesday at Moreau Institute of Integral Training Hall, Dhankheti.
