ICFAI Tripura awards 1,542 students

SHILLONG, Nov 22: As many as 1,542 degrees were awarded to the outgoing students of ICFAI University, Tripura, during its convocation ceremony on November 19.
According to a statement, convocation for the batches of 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years were held together owing to COVID -19 situation.
Among the 1,542 degrees, 693 and 849 degrees were awarded tog the batches of 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively.
During the convocation, a ceremonial parade was also performed by Tripura Police band.
Director of Indian Statistical Institute-Kolkata, Dr. Sanghamitra Bondyopadhyay, who was the chief guest during the programme, heaped praises on the ICFAI University’s multi-disciplinary approaches.
She also advised the awardees to brave new challenges that stand ahead of them.
Others who attended the programme include Vice Chancellor, Dr. Biplab Halder, Registrar, Dr. A Ranganath, et al.
