Night curfew
The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has relaxed the night curfew in the district. According to a directive on Thursday, night curfew will now be promulgated in the district between 11 pm and 5 am every day.

Competition
As a part of Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the department of Botany and Environment Science of Sankardev College will organise a virtual inter-college presentation competition on ‘Major Environmental issues in North East” at 10 am on Friday in the conference hall of the college.

PDS quota
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Pynursla Civil Sub-Division, has informed that rice under NFSA and non-NFSA for November has been released through respective fair price shops at the scale of 35 kg per card at Rs. 3 per kg for AAY card holders, 5 kg per head at Rs. 3 per kg for PHH card holders and 7.215 kg per household at Rs. 12.70 to Rs. 13 per kg for non-NFSA beneficiaries. Meanwhile, all beneficiaries have been asked also to submit their Aadhaar number to their concerned fair price shop dealers.
