SHILLONG, Nov 28: A joint inspection of the ongoing construction works including widening, metalling and black-topping of a PWD Road in South Shillong and public footpath from the main entrance of Sankar Dev College, Bishnupur, till Lawsohtun Road Kench’s Trace, was conducted by local MLA Sanbor Shullai and government officials recently.
Later, the delegation also inspected the construction of Municipal Market-cum-Shopping Complex at Kench’s Trace Road Bishnupur and Working Women’s Hostel-cum-Auditorium at Rilbong. After the inspection, South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai expressed his gratitude to the members of Srimantha Sankardev Cultural Centre for donating the land for construction of the PWD road and the Revenue department for allotting the land free of cost to the Urban Affairs department for construction of market-cum-shopping complex. He also thanked the Social Welfare department in regard to the hostel-cum-auditorium construction work.
