NONGPOH, Nov 30: As many as four coal-laden trucks were on Tuesday intercepted by the Ri Bhoi Police along the NH-6 during a check at 18 Mile.
The check was conducted amid the reports of unabated rise in illegal coal transportation cases. Only recently, police in West Jaintia Hills had detected and seized nine trucks which were illegally transporting coal.
Meanwhile, following Tuesday’s interception, police have registered a case against the trucks — ML10A6257, ML05G8715, ML10B7217 and ML10B7406.
