Bullets seized from air passenger, gets detained

NONGPOH, Dec 9: An airline passenger was detained by the Ri Bhoi Police after three live rounds of .22 caliber bullets were found in his possession, at the Shillong Airport, on Thursday.
The passenger, identified as F Lalbiakhgenga from Mizoram’s Serchip district, was travelling from Shillong to Aizawl.
According to sources, the passenger along with his wife had come here for medical treatment at NEIGRIHMS.
It was also informed that Lalbiakhgenga had told security officials that he does not have any knowledge that he was carrying live bullets and that the bag belongs to his brother who owns a valid gun licence, whereas, he does not have one.
Later, the police seized the live bullets and an FIR was lodged.
