144 PwDs register for govt benefits

NONGSTOIN, Dec 14: Around 144 persons with disability (PwDs) from Nongstoin and its adjoining areas registered themselves for government benefits during a one-day assessment camp organised by the office of the District Resource Centre on Disability Affairs, Civil Hospital Nongstoin, in collaboration with the office of the District Social Welfare Officer, West Khasi Hills, on Tuesday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Nongstoin BDO, CP Mawkon, informed that the assessment was held so that eligible persons may be able to enjoy facilities provided by the government.
