MSKDF congratulates KIO on permanent affiliation to WKF

Shillong, Dec 14: The Meghalaya State Karate-Do Federation (MSKDF) which is affiliated to Karate India Organization has congratulated the KIO on having receiving permanent affiliation from the World Karate federation (WKF) the only International body of Karate sport recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC) Consequently MSKDF urged that Indian Olympic Association (IOA) should speed up its recognition to KIO in accordance with the Olympic charter Rule 28. MSKDF vice-president Daniel Warjri said the MSKDF welcomed the decision of the WKF to grant permanent affiliation to KIO as a member. The decision was taken by the WKF Congress during the World Senior Karate Championship held in Dubai, UAE on November 15.
