SHILLONG, Dec 19: As part of Christmas and New Year celebrations, BJP MLA from South Shillong, Sanbor Shullai, on Saturday provided financial assistance, amounting to Rs 10 lakh, to 36 committees from 19th South Shillong Constituency.
A statement in this regard informed that the committees who were provided with financial assistance include Christian Tribal Church Committees, Christian Non-Tribal Church Committees, Dorbar Shnong, Village Council, Covid Care Management Team (CCMT), Welfare Societies, Hindu Welfare Committees and Muslim Welfare Committees, et al.
The South Shillong MLA has also applauded the efforts of communities in promoting peace and harmony in the constituency.
