City BSS centre gets fully-digital ultrasound tech

SHILLONG, Dec 20: To provide cost-effective medical facilities to the underprivileged, the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Shillong has installed a fully digital ultrasound machine (USG) at its medical centre, Pranavananda Seva Niketan.
Talking about the newly-available medical facility, the secretary of the Jail Road-based charitable trust, Swami Purnabratananda Maharaj informed that the new USG machine has been installed so that people with limited means can avail medical services at minimal cost. He further stated that a senior physician from the town is in charge of providing USG services three times a week.
Notably, Pranavananda Seva Niketan is already equipped with a pathology unit, homoeopathy unit, physiotherapy, telemedicine and fully digital x-ray units which cater to the economically disadvantaged people.
