United States President Joe Biden has warned of a “winter of death.” Mad at unvaccinated Americans, Biden said many of them “will soon overwhelm” hospitals and there will be “a winter of severe illness and death.” Biden’s “direct message to the American people” didn’t seem to have any effect on the conservatives among Americans. Greg Gutfield, a Fox TV anchor, mocked Biden and said it was time for some Americans to “grow stones”, his way of being direct with Joe Biden.
Gutfield dismissed the whole “booster theory” to beat the latest variant Omicron, spouting ridicule at both the virus and the Biden administration. In Alaska, former Governor Sarah Palin, a Republican, said she would take the vaccine over her dead body. Palin had once been a Vice Presidential candidate.
Last heard she was still with the Trump camp. Talking about the Covid-19 vaccine, she told a crowd that they shouldn’t succumb and instead remember that “we (the unvaccinated) outnumber them”. Ms. Palin is a role-model to follow, which she is to the unvaccinated.
And Joe Biden is an angry old POTUS. Angrier still is White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. Biden has been losing presidential steam in recent weeks and Psaki talks as if it’s her fault though she lets it out as if it is her bounden duty to protect Biden from crazy leftovers of the Trump Presidency.
But the Trump presidency would rather train guns on Antony Fauci, Biden’s and before him Trump’s Covid-19 advisor. Fauci stood next to Biden when the President told Americans that “it (Omicron) is here and now and it’s spreading and it’s going to increase.” It’s Fauci who is feeding such dire warnings into Joe Biden’s thought stream. Biden has asked Americans to take their “booster shots” if they didn’t want to see schools and businesses shutting down”.
The story is Biden and Fauci are looking at Omicron’s run in Europe and it is worrying them no end at the speed with which Omicron’s “raging” across Europe and the United Kingdom. Even otherwise if anything happens to the English, and it’s happening to the Americans. Crazy, but that is how it is. The Yanks and the Brits, the two are an “item”. If one goes crazy, the other goes loony. It’s got to do with Mohan Bhagwat’s “dna is the same” theory.
President Biden and the US do not want the United States to return to “shutdowns”. “We are gonna protect our economic recovery… I want to see everyone around enjoy that. I want to see them enjoy the fact that they’re able to be in school, that businesses are open and the holidays are coming.”
It could be rated a rant. But it is the American in Biden speaking; perhaps the fervent wish of a benign “ruler” to see his “people” enjoy in the midst of gloom. Biden wore his facemask and next to him Fauci stood flaunting his. The seriousness and the solemnity was lost on Trump’s party of resistance. Proving once again that the ruling party and opposition party everywhere behaved the same—again Mohan Bhagwat’s “dna is the same” at work.
And not for nothing are Biden and Fauci’s stark warnings. Covid infections are surging across the United States. Worse, the surge is being driven “by the heavily mutated Omicron variant.” Nearly 3 percent of Covid cases in the US are because of Omicron—up from 0.4 percent the week before.
And Covid-19 deaths crossed the 800,000 mark the week before December 20. On average the US is seeing near about 120,000 new cases every day and 1200 deaths daily. This is data from Johns Hopkins University. The deaths and new cases are double of what they were the month before.
Here’s what it could look like in the USA in another two to four weeks—cases linked to Delta and Omicron variants could peak in January 2022. And Omicron cases will see another surge in the “Spring”, which won’t be Spring on the subcontinent.American infectious disease specialist Celine Gounder, whose mother is French and father Tamil from Erode, said the US death toll could “shoot up dramatically in the next couple of weeks.” No wonder Biden is fit to be tied. Any President of the US would be.What about our Prime Minister? Looks like he lost the zeal to talk Covid to the “praja” ever since the May defeat in West Bengal. The second Covid wave left him in dire straits. Now he has put in double the work in Uttar Pradesh and even then there is the fear of the outcome.Prime Minister Narendra Modi has very nervous days ahead of him. One piece of advice: Don’t call or take calls from POTUS Joe Biden till the UP elections are through. And watch out for Omicron, this variant like Delta can be vicious to the Bharatiya Janata Party. If UP is lost don’t blame the electorate. Between Modi and Yogi, pick one or pick both, you will have caught the culprit. After Delta, the Omicron variant is out to try to lynch the BJP. (IPA Service)
