Glancing back at the year 2021

The year 2021 will be etched forever in our minds as the year that brought India to its knees — while COVID made the nation kneel, the farmers compelled the government to surrender to their will and repeal the three farm laws. Instances like the one with farmers, the endemic COVID-19 crisis, the horrors of cyclone Yaas, the demise of India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, made it one of the worst years in recent memory for the country. However, not all was bad news. 2021 was also the year that brought recognition to India as the vaccine protagonist of the world, putting up the largest vaccination campaign globally, and surpassing its own milestones with each passing day. The crowning of Harnaaz Sandhu and many other happenings are what further made this revolution around the Sun a pleasant process. Here’s a look-back at 2021 through the perspective of the lens.
