Police advisory on old coins scam

SHILLONG, Jan 3: In view of complaints about fraudsters claiming to be agents of Old Coin Private Limited, an agency dealing in old coins, the Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills has warned the public against such impostors.
According to the police, these fraudsters send the victim a QR code for online transactions and once the victim scans the QR code, the money is deducted from their bank account.
