KP Pangniang said on Thursday.
Pangniang said that the emergence of the AITC is going to impact national parties like the Congress and the NPP; however he added that regional parties are going to benefit from the new political development.
Stressing on the importance for all regional parties to unite and to take advantage of the prevailing political situation in the state, Pangniang informed that, “we have decided in the recent general council meeting that we are going to take the lead to ensure there is better cooperation and coordination among the regional parties”.
He further informed that the party will soon initiate the process to hold dialogue with all the regional parties. “We will start by bringing all of them under the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA),” he said.
Meanwhile, the HSPDP Youth Wing has decided to strengthen the party in Khasi and Jaintia Hills region ahead of the 2023 Assembly polls. “We are trying to enroll members into the party through offline and online mode through party website,” HSPDP youth wing president Sandondor Ryntathiang said.
