BSF foils smuggling bid, seizes clothing items worth 32 lakh

TURA, Jan 8: As part of an anti-smuggling operation, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in South Garo Hills have thwarted a smuggling bid and confiscated a huge quantity of clothing items.
The seized items were being smuggled from Garo Hills to Bangladesh.
As per reports, troops of BOP Netri and BOP Rasnagiri of 55 Bn BSF carried out an operation on the border areas on Friday and seized clothing items valued around Rs 32 lakh.
It may be mentioned that the confiscated items have now been handed over to the concerned Customs office for further action.
