Free Soul, RS&CC, PSWS gather wins

SHILLONG, Jan 8: Free Soul Brothers, RS&CC and PSWS Municipal registered wins in their respective matches of the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, here on Saturday.
In the first match, Blaze won the toss and batted first against Free Soul Brothers, scoring 28 runs in 4.1 overs.
In reply, Free Soul Brothers got to 31 runs in only 2 overs, winning with 4 wickets to spare. Mithun Paul was declared Player-of-the-Match.
In a thrilling finish, RS&CC beat Sportive Junior in the last ball of the match. Sportive batted first after winning the toss and posted 57 runs in 6 overs.
RS&CC then scored 59 runs in 6 overs with 5 wickets remaining. Souniyadeep was adjudged Player-of-the-Match.
In the last match of the day, Sales XI chose to field first after winning the toss against PSWS Municipal, who then scored 48 runs in 5.3 overs.
Sales XI could only manage 21 runs in 4.3 overs as PSWS grabbed a 27-run victory. Arup Deka was the Player-of-the-Match.
