Council clarifies on allegation of fund misuse

TURA, Jan 11: The Secretary to the Executive Committee of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) has clarified that there was no misuse of Central funds for disbursement of salaries to the Council employees, as reported in the media.
“It is clarified that the funds received from the Central Government for the implementation of projects has not been misused by the Excutive Committee,” the brief clarification stated.
