SHILLONG, Jan 14: Royal CC and The XI won their respective round of 16 matches in the 9th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Tennis Ball Day & Night Cricket Tournament, here on Friday. In the first match, Royal won the toss and scored 65 runs in 8 overs while batting first. In reply, NWCC scored 44 runs in 8 overs thereby conceding the match by 21 runs. Tarique Siddique of Royal was named the Player-of-the-Match for scoring. In the other game, The XI batted first after winning the toss against Innings. The XI smashed 85 in 8 overs. In response, Innings folded for just 30 runs thus handing The XI a massive 55-run win. Supriyo Chnada was adjudged the Player-of-the-Match for his spell of 2/19.
