State logs 189 new COVID cases

SHILLONG, Jan 14: The state on Friday recorded 189 fresh COVID-19 cases while no death was reported in the past 24 hours.
The active tally now stands at 898 while 83,597 people have recovered from the viral infection including 75 on the day. The death toll remains at 1,490.
137 fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, 22 in West Garo Hills, 18 in Ri Bhoi, three in West Khasi Hills, four in West Jaintia Hills, three in South West Khasi Hill, two in West Khasi Hills and one each in East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South Garo Hills.
