NEPA, Jersey Kings game ends in tie; Cluster win

SHILLONG, Jan 18: NEPA and Jersey Kings tied while Cluster defeated Sales XI by 28 runs in their respective Shillong Cricket Association Second Division matches, here on Tuesday.
In the opening match of the day, Cluster won the toss and batted first against Sales XI, scoring 136/5 in 20 overs. Suraj Rai scored an impressive 46 off 35 balls while Md Reyaz contributed 18. Amit Paul picked up 2/22.
In reply, Sales XI were bowled out for 108 in 19.1 overs as Player-of-the-Match Ankit Sharma wreaked havoc with figures of 4/8 in 2.1 overs. Manthan Dey was the top-scorer for Sales XI with a run-a-ball 30.
Later in the day, NEPA chose to bowl first after winning the toss against Jersey Kings, restricting them to 125/9 in 20 overs. Akash Biswa scored 27 runs while Raj Biswa made 26. Player-of-the-Match Alexjender Kuki took 3/18 from 3 overs for NEPA.
Chasing 126 for a win, NEPA were also restricted to 125/8 in 20 overs, ending the match in a tie. Kundan Kr Shah and Sanjib Kumar both scored 24 runs each. Vivek Sunar finished figures of 3/18 while Sanjeev Rai took 3/23 runs.
Both teams shared one point each.
