SHILLONG, Jan 19: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday said the entire process leading to a final resolution of the interstate border dispute in the six areas will take time to complete but at the same time he made it clear that the two states have been able to reach some sort of agreement before the deadline of January 21.
“Setting a deadline is part of an ongoing process and obviously there is a lot more work left after this but what is important is that the two states have come to a conclusion before the 50th year of Statehood,” Sangma said.
Reacting to the demand for a special Assembly session on the boundary issue, the CM said there was no such plan at the moment.
