TURA, Jan 27: A complaint has been submitted to the Director of School Education and Literacy in Shillong seeking the dissolution of the SMC of Magurmari GA Secondary School in West Garo Hills alleging anomalies in its formation.
Two residents from the area- Abdul Aziz Sk and Abdul Hashan Sk are making the demand allegedly on behalf of parents and guardians of the school. Earlier the same complaint was made to the DSEO concerned which was not acted upon and the complainants have turned to the higher authority.
The complainants are demanding the dissolution of the SMC on grounds that no general meeting was held for its formation and that no legal parents and guardians are in the existing SMC. They urged the DSEL to direct the DSEO to dissolve the SMC and start the process of forming a legitimate SMC with the inclusion of legal parents and guardians.
