SHILLONG, Jan 30: Sports Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh has announced Rs 26 lakh for revamp of Umtangphar football ground.
Lyngdoh announced this while attending the kick-off programme of golden jubilee celebration of Kharang Social and Cultural Club.
The sports minister, who was part of the opening ceremony of the golden jubilee celebration, announced that Rs 26 lakh has been sanctioned for improvement of the Umtangphar football ground, the work for which will commence in a few days’ time.
He also announced additional funds for improvement of the approach road to the ground.
