Shillong, Feb 4: Two quick strikes in the dying minutes ensured that Umphrup SC came from behind to beat Wahingdoh SC 3-2 in the Shillong Sports Association Second Division football match here on Friday. Bannangkiewshaprang Khriam opened the scoring for Umphrup in the 4th minute. Hame B Khongphai scored the equaliser for Wahingdoh in the 60th minute, before Rahbok Synnah’s 65th minute strike enabled Wahingdoh to take the lead. Wahingdoh looked all set to win the contest but goals from Nongpynkhraw Kshiar (83rd minute) and Shanmeiaki Warlarpih (88th minute) ensured that Umphrup bagged all the points from the contest. On Saturday, Marbisu SC take on Jongksha SC at 2 pm.
