KHADC CEM firm on not giving NOC to railway line project

Shillong, Feb 7:  The CEM of the KHADC, Titos Chyne has defended it’s decision of not granting NOC for the proposed Tetelia- Byrnihat Railway line.

Speaking to media persons here  today  he said that council did not own land and when the stakeholders like Rangbah Shnong, rait etc., were not willing to give their land for the project,, council couldn’t do anything.  He, however, said that the process would continue to engage with the stakeholders.

It may be mentioned that the KHADC recently refused to give NOC to the Tetelia-Byrnihat railways line
