SHILLONG, Feb 6: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Chief, Ampareen Lyngdoh, has told the UDP — a coalition partner in the MDA Government — that it is too late for the latter to seek an independent probe into the allegations of illegal coal mining and transportation.
She also wondered if the partners in the MDA government confer about the alleged illegalities during their coalition meetings.
“We have no connection with their dialogues; we will just say where were you and why didn’t you support us when we were saying there was real illegal transport of coal?,” she said.
“We say there are too many indicators that there is illegal transportation of coal and we stand by it,” she added.
