Men held with 1,878 turtles

Kanpur, Feb 7: Nearly 1,878 turtles were seized and two men arrested in the Chakeri area of the city by the STF Kanpur unit on Monday. As per reports, the men had stuffed the turtles in sacks concealed in a truck along with a consignment of sunmica. They were arrested while they were on their way to West Bengal, where the turtles were supposed to be delivered.
According to the STF spokesman, the two arrested men belong to Kathua area of Jammu & Kashmir. (IANS)
