Conrad launches eProposal system

SHILLONG, Feb 8: Chief minister Conrad K Sangma launched the eProposal System in a programme held on Tuesday.
Speaking during the launch, CM Sangma said the objective of the eProposal System in governance is to ensure that the delivery mechanism improves at the grass root level, reducing time and increasing efficiency to sanction various important projects.
“The challenge now will be to get everyone on board and provide training at all the levels which will happen in the next two to three months,” he said.
Notably, the launching event was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, DP Wahlang, Principal Secretary, Dr Shakil P Ahammed, Commissioner & Secretary, Dr Vijay Kumar besides officers from NIC, Finance and Planning departments.
The launch was also attended virtually by departments from other districts of the state.
Adding that launching this system is a great milestone in governance which will make considerable differences in the days to come, Conrad stated that the launch in the 50th year of statehood sends a strong message of reform.
