Conrad inaugurates health centre

JOWAI, Feb 9: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday inaugurated St. Vincent De Paul Healthcare Centre and the approach road to the Samanlang Socio Cultural Centre at Bishop House Mihmyntdu.
It may be mentioned that the St. Vincent De Paul Healthcare Centre of the Catholic Church which was initiated by the Society of St. Vincent De Paul, Jowai.
The chief minister was also accompanied by Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui, MLAs, MDCs et al.
During the inaugural programme, the president of Society of St. Vincent De Paul, MM Thaiang, informed that over Rs 40 lakh was coughed up for the construction of the building for the health centre. Out of that, Rs 20 lakh was received from the Chief Minister Development Fund, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Conrad lauded the efforts of the Society for setting up the health centre.
