Two deaths, 125 fresh cases

SHILLONG, Feb 9: The state on Wednesday recorded 125 fresh cases of COVID-19 while two more patients succumbed to the viral infection in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,554.
One death each was reported from East Khasi Hills and East Jaintia Hills.
The active tally stands at 1,098 while 89,994 people have recovered from the viral infection including 233 on the day.
56 fresh cases were detected in East Khasi Hills, 16 in West Garo Hills, 13 in Ri-Bhoi, 11 in West Jaintia Hills, five each in South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills, four each in North Garo Hills and East Garo Hills, three each in Eastern West Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills and two in West Khasi Hills.
