5 coal traders arrested by Guwahati Police for tax evasion

Guwahati, Feb 11: Guwahati City Police have arrested five persons for suspected ‘tax evasion’ related to coal trade. A case (No. 180/22 u/s 120 (B)/468/420/471) has been registered at the Basistha Police Station in this regard.

Joint Commissioner of Guwahati City Police of Guwahati Partha Sarathi Mahanta said that the extent of the tax evasion would run into several crores of rupees. One of the arrested persons included one Balwant Bhama.
