World Pulses Day observed

TURA, Feb 10: On the occasion of World Pulses Day, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), West Garo Hills on Thursday organised a campaign with the theme “Atmanirbhar Bharat- Harnessing potential pulses for import substitution”.
During the campaign, a training programme was held on the topic ‘pulses and their benefits’.
Meanwhile, KVK experts who had attended the campaign also delivered a lecture on the importance of pulses and the scientific package and practice on cultivation. The campaign was partaken by 30 participants.
