Super Div Cricket: Rangkynsai trump Sputnik by 4 wickets

SHILLONG, Feb 13: Rangkynsai laboured to a 4-wicket win after a fine knock of 68 by Player-of-the-Match Ajay Duhan in their Shillong Cricket Association Super Division match against Sputnik, here on Sunday. Earlier, Sputnik won the toss and batted first, scoring 190/6 in the allotted 40 overs. Rajesh Tati top-scored with 51 while Amiangshu Sen added a gritty 38 runs from 68 balls. Sanjay Lyngdoh was the pick of the bowlers, claiming figures of 2/31. Needing under 5 runs an over to win the match, Rangkynsai then managed to reach 191/6 in 37.4 overs after Ajay’s 68 runs off 63 balls and a patient knock of 42 by Pankaj Yadav. For Sputnik, Swarajeet Das took 2/31 from his quota of 8 overs.
