Guv felicitates six NCC cadets

SHILLONG, Feb 15: Six NCC cadets, who represented Meghalaya at the Republic Day Parade 2022 at Rajpath, New Delhi, were felicitated by Governor Satya Pal Malik in a function held at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.
The Governor gave away ‘Certificates of Appreciation’ and cash awards to the cadets.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Malik congratulated the cadets and spoke about the importance of Republic Day Camp and the NCC in nation-building. He also commended the parents and teachers of the cadets, who were also present there.
A total of five boys and a girl from Shillong Gp represented the North East Region Directorate at New Delhi.
Cadet Mary Milling, a student of St Mary’s College, Shillong, was the first cadet from Arunachal Pradesh to take part in the Republic Day Camp. She was also awarded the Director General NCC Commendation Card for her excellent performance.
