Documentation
The Director of Arts and Culture, Meghalaya, has invited applications from scholars who are interested to take up research-oriented documentation works under North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, in the fields of Folk & Tribal Music and Dances of Meghalaya and Vanishing Art Forms of North East. According to a statement, the selection of the project proposals will be finalised by a panel of experts constituted by the NEZCC. “The applicant should be an Indian citizen and an indigenous inhabitant of the concerned state,” it said, adding that the last date of submission of applications is March 15.

Exercise
The Meghalaya Biodiversity Board will conduct a one-day bird count exercise at Umiam Lake, Lum Nehru Park, Ri-Bhoi, at 9 am on February 19. The exercise is being conducted in accordance with the Asian Waterbird Census 2022.

Awards
The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) has invited applications from youth clubs for Award to Outstanding Youth Club 2021-2022 for various activities conducted during 2020-2021. According to a statement, interested youth clubs have been asked to apply in a prescribed form, which has been made available in the offices of the district NYK of Shillong, Jowai, Nongstoin, Ri-Bhoi, Tura, Baghmara and Williamnagar. Last date for submission of applications is February 28.
